Practice Studio Rentals
Music practice rooms may be rented for student enhancement or group practice. All private lessons must be contracted through the Cultural Center staff. No outside private/fee-based sessions are allowed.
Studios are rented on a first-come, first-served basis at $4 per hour, per person with a minimum of 2 hours per person.
Private Music Lessons
Private music studios are available where students can learn basic techniques, music theory, or enhancement. Half-hour sessions make these private lessons perfect for the music student. Hour lessons are available upon request and are scheduled as two sessions by appointment with the instructor. Students typically continue from term to term and receive priority to sign-up for their time slot each term. Any music books will be an additional cost and can be purchased through the instructor.
Piano Lessons
All ages
The piano has been one of the world’s most popular instruments for the last 250 years. Capable of playing in most genres, the piano has become the foundational instrument of Western music. Students must have access to a piano to practice with between lessons. A piano is provided in the studio for lessons and can also be rented by the hour for additional practice sessions. Clarinet Lessons
All ages
Open up a whole new world by learning beginning clarinet or enhancing your intermediate skills to create a beautiful rich sound from the ‘licorice stick.’ Students must have their own instrument. Any music books will be an additional cost and can be purchased through the instructor.

Flute Lessons

All ages.
Students will experience various flute studies focusing on tone and proper flute techniques. Material is adapted for beginner through advanced skill levels and lessons are shaped to the needs of the student. The ultimate goal is to make flute-playing fun, as music should be! Any music books will be an additional cost and can be purchased through the instructor.

Students will experience with various flute studies focusing on control of sound, and proper flute technique to establish a foundation upon which an excellent repertoire can be built. Saxophone Lessons
All ages.
Playing the saxophone is fun! Students will improve their tone, develop great technique, and learn to express themselves through a variety of styles. Any music books will be an additional cost and can be purchased through the instructor. All levels and ages are welcome!

Jazz Improvisation Workshops
Instructor: Nathanael Ankeny
Improvisation is exciting and rewarding. This two-hour class will give students the basic tools they need to gain confidence in improvising. The class will focus on playing melodies by ear, developing listening skills, learning basic musical forms, and understanding chords. Students should bring their instruments to the class (a keyboard will be provided for pianists) since they will be experiencing these topics in an interactive learning environment where they can try out new concepts as they go.
