Have you ever wondered what you can make with clay? Through hand building techniques, you will learn how to make both functional and sculptural clay works of art using coils, slab, extruding, carving, and manipulation of forms. Beginning wheel throwing techniques to create bowls, cups, mugs and lidded vessels will also be available. Surface design processes using underglazes, wax resist and glazes will also be explored.
Students must purchase clay and a tool kit from the CCC before or on the first day of class. Items available for purchase at the front desk.
