Summer Wheel Throwing & Handbuilding (ages 18+)

Learn the art of throwing pottery forms on the wheel, along with trimming, basic principles of firing and glazing techniques. Small class size ensures the help you need to achieve and improve your skill level. Class will explore using larger amounts of clay to form sculptural and altered forms on the wheel. We will also learn to throw off the hump and combine hand-built techniques to wheel thrown forms. This includes pottery baskets and pots with handles. This course is flexible and can begin at your skill level, when you can come.

Students must purchase clay and a tool kit from the CCC before or on the first day of class. Items available for purchase at the front desk.
