Yamhill County Arts & Heritage Congress

The Yamhill County Cultural Coalition, the Chehalem Cultural Center and the Board of County Commissioners invite you to participate in the Yamhill County Arts & Heritage Congress. 

October 27th, 2017 | 9:00am – 3:00pm | Chehalem Cultural Center

Congress: a formal assembly to solve problems.

This congress is a one-day event designed to create a space where artists and other culture providers can have meaningful conversations with decision-makers from government, business and education as well as with interested citizens. The goal of this conversation is to foster an understanding of how the art/culture sector of Yamhill County can help drive economic growth and sustainable liveability and to discuss common ground, shared objectives and opportunities for collaboration. 

Caucus: any group or meeting organized to further a special interest or cause.

There will be numerous facilitated and recorded caucus sessions as a part of this one day congress. See caucus sessions listed below:

  • Common Ground: Regional & Community Strategic Planning & Aspirations - information sharing
  • The Value of Creative Place Making - visionary & practical thinking
  • Untapped Resources & Looming Opportunities - specific strategies & projects
  • Uncommon & Peer to Peer Collaborations - visionary & practical next steps
