Meghan Hedley has led experimental collaborative drawings throughout the country, and will be leading a collaborative drawing at the Chehalem Cultural Center within the gallery that her paintings and drawings are installed in. In this workshop our intention will be to work as a community to create a large piece together, focusing more on the process of drawing and creating than on the end result, which will be mainly abstract. She will also select music to accompany and encourage the creative process. Meghan will set guiding parameters as the participants build up the drawing, and will remain open to the creativity of each individual.
Each participant will move throughout the space simultaneously, working with and building upon what every other participant has done. The drawing will be created within the gallery space and will be experimental in nature. At the end of our drawing we will hang the piece within the Chehalem Cultural Center, and it will become part of the current exhibit: (Paint) the Ten Thousand Things: In Installation. All ages are welcome and no previous drawing experience is necessary!
