The transformational artwork of retirees Jacqulyne Hedges and Robin Hazlett
Community Gallery Exhibition
Both Jacqulyne and Robin are self-taught, multi-media artists who live in Newberg, Oregon. They're both retired, and have been creating a prolific amount of artwork throughout the past couple of years. Jacqulyne finds challenge in experimenting with any media, and has been reclaiming used and discarded canvases and using various media to bring them to life again. Since retirement, she has exhibited her work in Colorado, Hawaii and Australia.
Before her retirement, Robin worked on commissioned art projects, while still raising and supporting her family. Always finding joy in art, she is now able to devote the majority of her free time into creating a dramatic new style of art which inspires imagination. Robin paints because she loves to get lost in the depth and flow of the color. The creative process feels like her own private work and is very relaxing. Although both Jacqulyne and robin are still emerging as artists in many ways, this season of art making has been a transformational time of creating and discovering their artistic voices.
