GALLERY EXHIBITIONS
The Chehalem Cultural Center exhibits a wide array of artwork throughout the various galleries in the building. The goal of the center is to feature local, regional, national and international artists that create work in all variety of mediums. Our galleries provide opportunities for critical dialogue, and connecting our community with a wide variety of mediums, processes, concepts and themes. Exhibitions typically rotate every two-months.
Galleries are open for viewing and art purchase:

Artist Receptions are a free event to view new exhibits and celebrate with the artists! Meet the artists, ask them questions, visit with other art lovers, and purchase art pieces. Wine and snacks are available.

Yamhill County Artist Showcase
May 6 - June 19, 2025 in the Parrish Gallery
The Chehalem Cultural Center is excited to host the third biennial Yamhill County Artist Showcase. The call for art was open to all Yamhill County-based artists, 18 years or older. Artists at any point in their careers were encouraged to apply. Over 220 pieces were submitted for our guest judge, Kate Bingaman-Burt, to review and narrow down to 50 final selections, making this our most competitive selection process to date!.

Yamhill County Youth Artist Showcase
May 6 June 19, 2025 in the Central Gallery
The Chehalem Cultural Center is happy to host the second biennial Yamhill County Student Artist Showcase! The call for art was open to all Yamhill County-based student artists currently enrolled in 1st-12th grade. Students submitted an incredible array of work, showcasing their skills in sculpture, drawing, mixed media, and digital art. The subjects range from stunning portraits to vast landscapes, to incredible creatures. We encourage all the students to keep pursuing their creative passions, and we look forward to seeing what they make next!

Rose Colored Windows
February 4 - June 19, 2025 in the Tri Family Lobby Gallery
“Rose- Colored Windows” by Alexis Neumann features a large-scale interactive installation and accompanying works inspired by traditional stained glass windows reimagined through individual layers of transparent vinyl designs that uses color, light and incidental beauty to celebrate complexity of experience, hope, and resiliency, in the body and mind.
Essence Of Oregon
A Solo Show By Christine Joy Swanson
September 2024 - May 15, 2025 in the Loft Gallery
Join us for a mini "retrospective" of Christine’s last 10 years of painting. In this exhibit, she highlights her steady growth as an artist. Each painting in this show is of a scene found here in our beautiful state of Oregon. From mountains, to deserts, beaches, vineyards and more. "The Essence Of Oregon" is what Christine hopes to capture in this display - the feeling and the beauty of home.

Along the Stream: A Retrospective with Gary Buhler
Exhibition Dates: May 20 - August 21, 2025 in the Loft Gallery
Public Artist Reception: May 30, 5pm - 7pm
Among the many subjects I’ve painted, I think I’m most fascinated by streams, rivers and other living bodies of water. These complex and ever-changing characteristics coming together in a unified whole have brought me refreshment and creative inspiration over the years.
Nature Revery: An Exhibit with Pam Quataert
Exhibition Dates: August 26, 2025 - January 8 2026 in the Loft Gallery
Public Artist Reception: September 12, 5-7 pm
I paint series of related images, often triptychs, to explore subjects. Though the works become abstract, the natural world is always the starting point. The same object, view, or experience are painted numerous times.
The Bridges+ Project: A Willamette Tapestry Artists Exhibition
Exhibition Dates: November 11, 2025 - January 8, 2026 in the Parrish Gallery
Public Artist Reception: December 5, 2025 | 5pm-7pm
Bridges can be both physical and metaphorical. The Willamette Tapestry Artists have chosen to represent physical bridges and structures of architectural and cultural interest.
