The Chehalem Cultural Center is happy to host the second biennial Yamhill County Student Artist Showcase! The call for art was open to all Yamhill County-based student artists currently enrolled in 1st-12th grade. Students submitted an incredible array of work, showcasing their skills in sculpture, drawing, mixed media, and digital art. The subjects range from stunning portraits to vast landscapes, to incredible creatures. We encourage all the students to keep pursuing their creative passions, and we look forward to seeing what they make next!
Kate Bingaman-Burt wrote this note about the showcase:
“It was an honor to serve as juror for the 2025 Yamhill County Artist Showcase. As I reviewed the submissions, I was deeply moved by the breadth of creativity, craft, and personal expression coming from artists across the county. I set out to assemble a show that reflects the incredible range of work being made here—across mediums, themes, and experiences. I truly wish I could have included every submission. The act of making and sharing art is, in itself, a bold and generous offering. It takes courage to put your work out into the world, and I want to acknowledge and celebrate that bravery. This exhibition is a testament to the vibrant creative community in Yamhill County. Thank you to all the artists who shared their work—you are what makes this show, and this region, so rich with possibility. Keep making. Keep sharing. REPEAT!”
