Night of the Moon: Central School Night
September 27, 2025
Chehalem Cultural Center is excited to invite the community to “Central School Night” on Saturday, September 27, 2025 from 5:30pm - 7pm for a joyful evening of laughter, connection, and creativity, bringing the spirit of a classic school carnival to life! For those who choose to attend the second portion of the evening, a live auction/paddle raise fundraiser will begin at 7pm.
Community members can join us as we transform the CCC into a playground full of fun carnival games, hands-on art activities, and prizes, honoring the building’s history as Newberg’s Central School. Everyone attending the carnival is encouraged to dress in their favorite “fall formal” attire and show their “school spirit” by sporting Central School’s original school colors, gold and green.

Entry to the event is $5 for ages 13 and older (ages 12 and under are free) and includes 6 carnival game tickets. Guests can keep the fun going by purchasing extra carnival tickets at the event to play games such as a Paper Airplane Throwing Contest, the classic Bottle Toss, and a chance to spin the Wheel of Naming Rights to earn prizes. Funds raised from the entry fees and carnival tickets support art classes, performances, and more at the Chehelm Cultural Center, keeping our programs accessible to all in our community.

Those choosing to support the CCC through the formal fundraiser event following the Carnival are invited into the LaJoie Theatre at 7pm to bid in a live auction featuring exclusive experiences, including a Coppola-Themed Film Dinner, and participate in a paddle raise.

Those unable to attend, but who would still like to support the CCC, tax-deductible donations can be made here.
