Education volunteers support our youth programs during Spring Break classes and Summer Camps by assisting instructors, helping with hands-on projects, supporting classroom organization, and creating a welcoming environment for students. Volunteers play an important role in ensuring young participants feel safe, encouraged, and inspired as they explore creativity and learning at the CCC. All volunteers that work with children need to have a background check.

Share your love of art by guiding visitors through our exhibits and helping spark meaningful conversations.

Gallery Guild volunteers connect visitors with art through free exhibit tours, monthly SaturPLAY engagement, special events, and artist receptions. Volunteers serve as ambassadors of the galleries, helping visitors feel comfortable, curious, and engaged.

Be part of the performance experience. Welcome guests, scan tickets, or pour wine and enjoy the show when your shift ends.

Theatre Guild Volunteers help create a welcoming guest experience at performances in the LaJoie Theatre. Roles include ticket check-in, ushering, seating assistance, distributing programs, and supporting accessibility needs under the direction of the House Manager. If there is seating, we welcome volunteers to stay and enjoy the show after their shift ends. 

Support our vibrant studio and earn free studio time while helping artists create.

Ceramics volunteers support the creative heartbeat of the studio by assisting with cleaning, organizing tools, maintaining clay traps, helping during markets, and supporting studio programs. Volunteers earn one free hour of studio time for every hour volunteered in the studio. - You should have experience in the CCC Ceramics Studio before signing up for a shift.

Newgrass volunteers help bring our annual bluegrass festival to life. Roles may include ticketing, guest check-in, hospitality, workshop support, KidZone assistance, food service, instrument watch, or performance logistics.

The Lavender Festival is one of the Chehalem Cultural Center’s largest annual celebrations, welcoming thousands of visitors for art, vendors, live experiences, and community gathering. Volunteers help bring the festival to life by assisting with event set-up, supporting the Bud Boutique and information desk, greeting guests at the Friday night reception, and even providing overnight security.

Hispanic Heritage Month volunteers help bring cultural celebrations to life through event set-up, guest support, market assistance, activity stations, and community engagement. Volunteers contribute to creating a vibrant, welcoming atmosphere during events such as the Día de Muertos celebration and our Hispanic Heritage Month Market.

MLK Day volunteers support our annual community celebration honoring the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Roles may include event set-up, guest welcome, activity assistance, and program support. Volunteers help create a space for reflection, unity, and civic engagement.  

Special Projects - Use your skills in unique, evolving ways that support creativity and community at the CCC.

Special Projects volunteers may support or lead a CCC Book Group by selecting readings, facilitating discussion, and creating a welcoming space for thoughtful conversation. Others may lead Fiber Friends gatherings, helping coordinate meeting times and foster a supportive creative environment for knitters, crocheters, and textile artists through light facilitation. Volunteers can also assist with office support, including organizing materials, data entry, assembling packets, filing, light event preparation, and other administrative tasks that help keep CCC programs running smoothly behind the scenes.  Don’t see a role that fits?
